The Nature's ephedra supercaps contain 833 mg per capsule. The ephedra we sell is a 100% natural product that comes from a plant called Ma Huang grown in China.

Each capsule of Ephedra contains 8% (67mg) ephedrine, the most active compound.  In addition, each capsule also contains  small quantities of pseudoephedrine and norephedrine. These substances have the same physiological effects as ephedra, but milder.

Ephedra is also available as the cut, dried herb. This herb comes in bags of 100 grams (3.5 ounces) or 1000 grams (35.3 ounces). Ephedra herb is suitable for making, for example, Mormon Tea. This form of ephedra is untreated (only dried) and contains 2% ephedrine.

There are a couple of important issues to bear in mind when buying ephedra. The amount of ephedrine in ephedra can vary from 2 to 8%. Thus, some varieties of ephedra contain only 2% ephedrine, and are much less potent. The second issue is that there exists a synthetic form of ephedrine called ephedrine HCl.  This material should be avoided, since there have been many reports of side effects.
